Perhaps our Chanukkah this year was not as “eventful” as I would have liked.
And I won’t dwell on that. š
But one thing we DID do this year
was attend a local community menorah (channukiah) lighting!
There was music and laughter… smiles and joy.
Wearing our glow-in-the-dark driedel glasses!
Doughnut decorating and latke eating.
A telling of the story of Chanukkah and encouragement.
The singing of blessings and lighting of the menorah.
The lighting of the chanukkiah
and the telling of the Chanukkah story
It was such a joy to gather with
the local Jewish community to celebrate the festival!
It was just a glimpse of future days that will come
when our Creator’s people will dwell in unity and rejoice!
